Long-term Training Course - Russian Federation: Online meetings and webinar

Learning, meetings, webinars and a two-day training-seminar are on-line for the trainers-beginners from the Russian Federation within the Long-term training course

30 trainee trainers from the Russian Federation continue their e-learning path within the Long-term training-course and work on defining their youth educational projects for the practical phase, developed in accordance with the criteria of the Council of Europe Youth Department and based on the principles of non-formal education.

During the first online meeting of the LTTC, held on 24 April 2020, the participants and educational team exchanged views on the mid-term results of the course and discussed relevant questions related to the pandemic situation, the life of young people in the current conditions and the modalities for the practice phase. Three hours of in-depth discussions ended with an exchange of views on what tools / on-line workshops the participants could implement for each other, as well as what specific requests they have as future trainers.

A webinar on "Human Rights Education in non-formal education-based youth activities" was held on 6 May with Rui Gomes, Head of Education and Training Division of the Council of Europe Youth Department. Mr Gomes informed the participants on how the Council of Europe, and particularly its Youth Department, is replying to the situation in Europe related to the Covid-19 propagation.

The webinar allowed participants to better understand the connection between HRE and NFE, why HRE is important for youth educational projects, and what role a trainer plays in organising these projects. After the session with Mr Gomes, participants discussed the mainstreaming of the HRE topics in their own realities, which themes they are already working on in their organisations and what might be addressed in the future.

On May 17-18, a two-day online workshop will take place where participants will work in teams on youth related situations and propose educational solutions to resolve the problems highlighted.

All these on-line meetings and webinars are held in parallel with the e-learning at the Moodle platform where the participants develop the educational projects programmes based on the educational objectives and expected results that have been previously established.
