Around fifty of the main stakeholders in the Council of Europe youth sector will gather to brainstorm the content of a new Council of Europe youth sector strategy for 2020 to 2030.
The meeting will define the added value of the Organisation in the European youth sector and beyond, notably in its action to associate young people with human rights and democratic values. The stakeholders will discuss the possible purposes and tasks of the strategy as well as the key challenges and gaps that should be addressed.
Their recommendations will be sent for approval by the Joint Council on Youth, the youth sector’s co-managed decision-making body. It is foreseen that the new strategy will be adopted and launched in 2020.
