The National Training Course in Human Rights Education Compass “Education for Life: Human Rights Themes and Methods for Working with Youth" started in Lithuania!

Twenty teachers and non-formal education practitioners from various regions of Lithuania have gathered Antaliepte to work together in order to discuss and learn about the developments of human rights education and democratic values.

 The main focus of this training course is to equip participants with skills, knowledge, and the attitude needed to become multipliers for the implementation of human rights education activities with young people in formal and non-formal education sectors. The Minister of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Lithuania, Jurgita Šiugždinienė, welcomed the participants at the opening session.

 This training course is organised by the Lithuanian Center for Human Rights, co-financed and implemented jointly with the Council of Europe Youth Department.
