Az ötvenes éveiben járó izlandi kórusvezető, Halla hadat üzen a szigeten működő alumíniumgyárnak, és változatos eszközökkel, rettenthetetlen elszántsággal szabotálja a működését. Célja a természet és az érintetlen izlandi táj megóvása. Egy nap azonban híreket kap az örökbefogadási hivataltól, és ez mindent megváltoztat: már nem csak saját magáról kell döntenie, amikor eltökélt célja érdekében törvényt szeg...
A film által felvetett kérdésekről, békés vagy radikális aktivizmusról, (föld)anyaságról, felelősségvállalásról és minden ehhez kapcsolódóról ezúttal is meghívott vendégeinkkel beszélgetünk. Ebben ezúttal Hevesi Flóra, a Greenpeace kommunikációs tanácsadója és Berecz Ágnes, a Pandora Egyesület alapítója lesznek segítségünkre.
A vetítést követő beszélgetést Molnár Bálint, a Budapesti Európai Ifjúsági Központ igazgatóhelyettese moderálja.

We would like to kindly invite you to our upcoming movie screening night followed by a roundtable discussion at the European Youth Centre Budapest on 13 September 2019 starting from 18:00, titled Woman at War
The story follows Halla, a woman in her fifties, who declares war on the local aluminum industry to prevent it from disfiguring her country. She risks all she has to protect the highlands of Iceland - but the situation could change with the unexpected arrival of a small orphan in her life. The film provokes questions on peaceful and/or radical activitsm, motherhood, personal responsibility and its boundaries.
All this and more will be discussed at the roundtable talk following the screening, hosted by Bálint Molnár, deputy executive director of the European Youth Centre Budapest. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
