The first of a series of trainings utilizing the Hungarian edition of Bookmarks was held on July 1-2, 2017 in Pécs, Hungary. The event was supported by the Council of Europe Youth Department and is part of the local series of activities organised in coordination with the European Youth Centre Budapest.
The trainings are implemented by the Hope for Children Association and the Subjective Values Foundation and brought together a group of 15 teachers, youth workers and trainers to explore topics of hate speech, digital literacy, internet safety, online ethics, tolerance, empathy, and solidarity.
The organizers concluded that professional educators are more inclined to develop non-formal learning activities, and they focus more on practical knowledge. The participants highlighted in their feedback the range of perspectives, the enthusiasm and the credibility of the trainers. The weekend was a successful event for all the participants.
