German Language Training Course

The Europa-Kolleg Kassel e.V. is organizing a four-week German language training course for youth workers in Kassel, Germany, for speakers level A2/B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (self-assessment of your level).

The course combines language training with topics of the Council of Europe (i. e. European Community/Council of Europe; Human Rights and Human Rights Education; Intercultural Learning). Participants will also be introduced in the German youth working system and be given the oppurtunity to visit several institutions.

(Course starts on Monday and ends on Friday)

Seminar fees for invited participants: € 115,00 (€ 100,00 seminar fees, € 15,00 bank fees) per participant to be transferred to the account of Europa-Kolleg until 15th July. Please note: Your application is not valid until this fee is transferred.

Seminar fees (covered by the German Ministry of Youth and Education) cover all expenses related to programme and accommodation.

What is included: German language course in the morning (Monday to Friday, in the whole about 100 hours, books and materials included). The programme contains a range of activities related to the course aims: visits in local youth organizations, workshops and project groups, guided tours.

The programme follows the guidelines of the Directorate of Youth and Sport of the Council of Europe.

What is not included:

  • Travel expenses
  • Participants’ private expenses
  • Expenses for public transport in Kassel (€ 44, 00)

Accommodation: Participants live with carefully selected host families in the city of Kassel or in suburbs (good transport network). Single rooms, either one or two participants per host family. Half board from Monday to Friday with the host family. Full board with the host family on week ends. From Monday to Friday lunch in the ‘Mensa’ of the university (participants receive lunch money).

We will close registration as soon as 26 qualified persons have been accepted. After receiving your application we will come back to you shortly and inform you about your status of application.
