Training course Access to Social Rights and Transition to Autonomy and Work Life of Young People in Ukraine

The training course “Access to Social Rights and Transition to Autonomy and Work Life of Young People in Ukraine” will take place in the European Youth Centre of Budapest between 20th and 25th July.

The training course will aim to contribute to Social and human rights of young people in Ukraine through development of competences of the main stakeholders dealing with the access to these rights. The participants will develop their competences in implementing initiatives that respond to the challenges of today’s young people, this based on non-formal and human rights education.

The training course is organised in the Framework Programme of Cooperation in the Field of Youth Policy between the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine.

The training session will bring together 30 participants from Ukraine, being youth workers and/or representatives of youth policy bodies at regional and national level. The course will happen both in English and Ukrainian.

"1st Training Course for Staff of Youth Centres"

The training Course aims to develop the competence of staff to integrate a Human Rights based approach within the educational programmes of individual centres participating in the Council of Europe Quality Label project.

Objectives of the training course:

-To enhance the knowledge of participants of the Youth Department Quality Standard for Human Rights Education and Youth Work;

-To enhance participants competences to engage in Human Rights Education within the context of the programme of activities of their youth centre, using the available tools of the Youth Sector;

-To identify possibilities to associate the educational programme of the Labelled Youth Centres to the Educational programme for Human Rights, Democratic Citizenship and Intercultural learning of the Youth Sector of the Council of Europe.

Applications are expected from staff (volunteer or paid) of a Labelled Youth Centre, or a Youth Centre aspiring to apply and has attended a platform meeting.
