The Joint Council on Youth (CMJ), the co-managed decision-making committee of the youth sector – met in Strasbourg on 17 and 18 October. The successes and challenges in the implementation of the 2016-17 programme were identified, and proposals on how to achieve the priorities for 2018-19 were discussed.
The main decisions include:
- adoption of a roadmap to help member states provide quality youth work (CM/Rec(2017)4);
- drafting of a Committee of Ministers’ recommendation to member states on supporting young refugees in their transition to adulthood;
- request to send information to all national stakeholders in the No Hate Speech Movement Campaign on support available to them in 2018.
