Team of the second residential training seminar on human rights education of the new long-term training for trainers in the field of non-formal education, Lviv - the European Youth Capital 2025

From 27 July to 1 August 2025, the Council of Europe Project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase IV" together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine conducted a second residential training seminar on human rights education of the new long-term training for trainers in the field of non-formal education. The activity took place in Lviv - the European Youth Capital 2025.

The long-term training course contributes to the implementation of youth projects in Ukraine by developing the competencies of 28 youth workers, youth trainers, young activists, maintaining the quality of non-formal education and training activities for and with young people in the war and post-war period. Among participants of the course are representatives from 16 regions of Ukraine.

Since July 2024, the course included two residential training seminars, mentoring, online learning elements, training practices, co-operative learning and individual guidance schemes. The course applied the quality standards in non-formal education produced by the Youth Department of the Council of Europe.

The Council of Europe project “Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase IV” was launched within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” for 2023-2026. News, resources of the Council of Europe in the field of youth, and open announcements for participation in Project events can be found here.
