Meeting of the Congress Current Affairs Committee in Belgrade
 The meeting of the Congress Current Affairs Committee was opened in Belgrade, Serbia on 14 June 2017, by Gabriele Neff (Germany, GILD), Chair of the Committee. It began with a discussion on the conclusions of the Seminar on the Pact of Towns and Regions to stop Sexual Violence Against Children, held the previous day with the National Associations of Local and Regional Authorities. The Committee also held a round table with several experts on the situation of regional and minority languages. Rapporteurs Lelia Hunziker (Switzerland, SOC) and Anna Magyar (Hungary, EPP / CCE) presented the report which was approved by the Committee and will be submitted for adoption at the October 2017 session. The members also approved the preparation of a future report on 'Refugee children and unaccompanied minors in Europe: What role and responsibilities for local and regional authorities?' and appointed Nawel Rafik-Elmrini (France, SOC) as rapporteur. Finally, members discussed the preparation of the 3rd Summit of the Alliance of European Cities against Violent Extremism, to be held in Barcelona on 14 November 2017.
