Young people from across Europe gathered in Budapest from May 18–23 for “Mental Health & Well-Being without Borders,” a study session on mental health inequities organized by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) in cooperation with the European Youth Centre Budapest.
Over 30 ESN members explored the unique mental health challenges facing international youth through workshops and discussions, using intersectional and human rights perspectives.
Participants identified barriers to support, mapped solutions, and created practical tools for youth workers to address mental health needs in their communities.
The session concluded with a set of actionable recommendations and resources to help youth organizations and universities promote mental well-being and access to quality mental health services among international students.
