The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and broader parliamentary cooperation within the Council of Europe are increasingly energised by the ideas and activism of young people. Recognising youth as not only future leaders but vital partners today, these institutions are opening their doors to youth perspectives through a range of dynamic initiatives.

 From including youth representatives in Assembly sessions, to launching platforms for dialogue between parliamentarians and young activists, PACE and its partners strive to make legislative processes more inclusive, forward-thinking, and reflective of the concerns and issues important to European young people, in all their diversity.

 By weaving young voices into debates on democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, the Council of Europe’s parliamentary bodies are cultivating a new generation of civic participation, ensuring that policies and laws are shaped in partnership with those who will not only inherit them, but who will have to uphold and defend them as well.
