Training course on taking action on hate speech aimed at countering violent radicalisation amongst young people will be run by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Youth Department of the Council of Europe. The training will bring some 40 youth workers, activists, teachers, policy officers, lawyers and government officials aged between 19 and 30 from across 22 Commonwealth countries. The training is based on the Council of Europe’s manual “Bookmarks combatting hate speech through human rights education” and “We CAN! Taking action on hate speech through counter- and alternative narratives” as part of the Council of Europe’s campaign The No Hate Speech Movement .
