On 22 January 2025 the Youth Organisation Solijugend, a member organisation of the German Federal Youth Council (DBJR) and Youth for Exchange and Understanding (YEU), visited the Council of Europe Youth Department.

 They have had an introduction to youth priorities of the Council of Europe, history of the youth sector and the role of the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg and in Budapest. Particularly, the unique co-management system of the Council of Europe youth sector was highlighted.

 The Solijugend enriches the life of associations and society through its commitment to youth education, culture, politics, sport and international youth work in Germany on all levels with a special focus on international youth exchanges with youth organisations from all across Europe and Northern Africa. During their visit, they had the opportunity to gain insights into the work of the Youth Department as well as the youth-related work of the Sport Division (Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport) and the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.
