On 11-12 May 2026, the Stara Zagora Youth Centre in Bulgaria hosted a 2-day coaching visit together with an expert from the Council of Europe Quality Label programme.
Every member of the educational staff of the youth centre took part in the exchange, which aimed to develop the centre’s educational programme, with a focus on the mental health and well-being of young people and on improving participation among vulnerable groups, particularly Roma youth and those at risk of social exclusion.
Activities included interactive sessions, reflections on the centre’s work, and discussions on Council of Europe Youth Department resources and approaches, including
- COMPASS,
- Mirrors – Manual on combating antigypsyism through human rights education,
- Right to Remember,
- Have your say!, and the
- Recommendation to member States on Roma youth participation CM/Rec(2023)4.
This activity was organised by the Council of Europe Youth Department as part of the Quality Label for Youth Centres Programme.
