Marjaana Ettala, Desk Officer for Human Rights Policy at Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and Tony Paso, Deputy Permanent Representative of Finland to the Council of Europe visited the European Youth Centre to discuss the Council of Europe’s work in the youth field. The visit focused on exploring opportunities to align efforts in peacebuilding and democracy with the Council’s initiatives on youth participation.

Yael Ohana, Programme Manager at the Council of Europe Youth Department, guided them on a tour of the Centre and highlighted its work in peace education for youth. The role of young people in revitalising democracy was emphasised, and the Permanent Representation of Finland expressed interest in the youth sector’s follow up on the implementation of the Reykjavik principles.
