Lord Hermer KC Richard Hermer, Attorney General for England and Wales visited today the European Youth Centre Strasbourg and engaged with the participants of the training course “Youth advocacy for democracy and human rights”.
The Attorney General was welcomed by Tobias Flessenkemper, Head of the Council of Europe Youth Department, who gave a tour of the European Youth Centre Strasbourg and offered more input on its role in empowering young people across Europe.
With the participants of the training course “Youth advocacy for democracy and human rights”, the Attorney General discussed the responsibilities of the Attorney General for England and Wales regarding human rights respect at national and international level, as well as challenges in this area.
Furthermore, the participants exchanged with the Attorney General on the ways young people can advocate and co-operate with decision makers to advance their access and enjoyment of human rights.
