On 16 March, a Roundtable entitled “Legislation on public broadcasting: international standards and priority amendments. Model of regional broadcasting” was held in Kyiv as part of the project “Integration of European Standards in the Ukrainian Media Environment”.

The Roundtable was organised to discuss the amendments to the law on public broadcasting. It brought together the Parliamentary Committee for Freedom of Speech and Information, which requested the law analysis, and the Council of Europe expert - Eve Salomon, who prepared the legal opinion on the law.

On 19 March, the Law “On amending certain Laws of Ukraine with regard to Public Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine"was adopted by 256 MPs votes.
