Twenty-one young Ukrainians between the ages of 17 and 29 had discussions with members of the Congress and experts on the occasion of a regional training seminar held in Chernihiv (Ukraine) from 30 September to 2 October 2014. Nataliya Romanova (Ukraine), President of the Chamber of Regions of the Congress, Liisa Ansala, a member of Rovaniemi municipal council in Finland, Volodymyr Udovychenko, Mayor of Slavutych, Ukraine, and Mairi Evans, a member of Angus Regional Council, Scotland, United Kingdom, shared with the young people their experience as local elected representatives, in particular on the practical implementation of the principles of local and regional democracy.
