COMPASS training courses 2023: starting together

A preparatory meeting with partners organising Compass national training courses in 2023 brought together 21 representatives of 12 organisations from Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, Poland, Belgium, Italy, North Macedonia, Armenia and Georgia.

The meeting familiarised the partners of COMPASS courses with the Council of Europe’s Human Rights Education Youth Programme and secured a smooth preparation and quality of the courses.

The preparatory process focussed on developing a common understanding of:

  • The relevance of the courses
  • The learning objectives and programme
  • The recruitment and profile of participants
  • The expected results and impact of the activity
  • The of organisers, trainers and national stakeholders
  • The communication and visibility of the activity.

The meeting was based on the Handbook for Organisers of COMPASS training courses.

As a result of the call for activities to implement the COMPASS NRTCs 2023 the successful applicants  will receive educational, financial and institutional support from the Council of Europe and shortlisted applicants will possibly receive support if financial resources become available later this year.

The Compass Training Courses are strategic national or regional activities for the development of competences of key multipliers for human rights education with young people and the implementation of the Council of Europe Charter on Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education.
