CLEP-Moldova Project presents the findings of the analytical review of international agreements on data/info exchange

The CLEP project presented the findings of an analytical review focused on the effectiveness of international cooperation agreements on data and information exchange related to economic crimes. The review aimed at recommending changes and improvements in the agreements that could boost effectiveness. While the CoE expert presented findings and recommendations, five panels moderated by Moldovan authorities discussed the following topics: data exchange and personal data protection, essential elements of international agreements, exchange of information beyond law enforcement (especially for prosecutors and the National Integrity Authority), exchange of information for preventing and combating money laundering and lastly the experiences of law enforcement agencies. A wide range of law enforcement bodies and public institutions took part in the event, which was attended by 27 representatives (15 men and 12 women).
