Back Typologies of corruption and inspections affecting entrepreneurs at the municipal level in the Russian Federation

The PRECOP II project organises back to back workshops on typologies of corruption affecting entrepreneurs in the municipal level and the impact of inspections in the business processes at municipal level in the Russian Federation. The two workshops will take place on 30-31 May 2018 in Rostov-on-Don in the Russian Federation.

The 5th and final workshop on "Inspections at municipal level and their impact on the regular business processes" will bring together some 50 representatives of the Federal and Regional Business Ombudsmen offices from 15 pilot regions of the Russian Federation, executive and legislative bodies and business associations of Rostov region. The workshop will provide a platform to discuss the main findings and recommendations of the study on “Impact of inspections on business processes at municipal level in the Russian Federation”

The participants in the workshop on “Typologies of corruption affecting entrepreneurs at regional and municipal level” will discuss the main findings and recommendations of the study on “Typologies of corruption affecting entrepreneurs in the Russian Federation at the regional and municipal levels”.

Council of Europe experts who have contributed to the two studies will participate in the discussions and take into account the feedback from participants for the finalization of the studies and recommendations contained therein. This dialogue will ensure that the recommendations take into account country context and reform needs and address specific gaps identified in the legislation or institutional practices at the municipal level in line with international standards and good practice.
