Around twenty five practitioners and policy makers representing corruption prevention, policy and law enforcement bodies in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine) will discuss the analysis and recommendations of the preliminary assessment of effectiveness and independence of their institutions in a Regional Workshop, taking place on 17 December 2018, in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The assessment was launched in September 2018 and involved desk analysis of publicly available sources, questionnaires completed by assessed bodies and civil society responses. The resulting report is intended to establish a baseline of anti-corruption bodies in the EaP region, that would serve as a basis for further more in-depth analysis of the independence and effectiveness of such bodies and targeted technical assistance. Conclusions and comments from the workshop will feed back into the report.
