Inspectors and Assistant Inspectors of the High Inspectorate on Declaration and Audit of Assets and Conflicts of Interest (HIDAACI) attended a two-day training on verification of asset declarations related to implementation of new legislation. The training provided participants with practical guidance on how to verify information provided by officials and, at the same time, increase efficiency of administrative checks, enquiries and audits of submitted declarations. Participants had the opportunity to discuss with experts good practices and specific models from other EU countries and ways lessons learned from elsewhere could be used in the Albanian legal and institutional context. The HF-AEC-AL has also provided participants with written Guidelines on implementation of amendments to the Law “On the Declaration and Audit of Assets” to guide them in their future work.
