“Young Active Citizens” Award 2006-2007

Meeting of the Jury for the Council of Europe “Young Active Citizens” Award 2006-2007 “All Different – All Equal”, 9 – 10 September 2007, European Youth Centre, Strasbourg

The Jury was consisted of representatives of the European Steering Group of the “All Different – All Equal” Campaign, members of the Programming Committee, the decision-making body of the European Youth Centres and the programmes of the European Youth Foundation, and one staff member of the Council of Europe’s Youth and Sport Directorate.

The Jury’s decisions are:
Five winning projects were selected:

  • “Why All Different – When All Equal” A project designed to promote integration and active participation of disadvantaged youth into the social life. Carried out by the Youth Union “Bridge to the Future” (Azerbaijan).
  • “Théâtre Franco-Bulgare des Sciences: Entrons dans la science à travers le Théâtre”. A joint project carried out by the “MOGA.ZNAM.TVORIA” Association (Bulgaria/France). (more…)
  • “Jung+Moslem in Deutschland 2”. A project to build bridges between young people. Carried out by the “Medienprojekt Wuppertal e.V.” (Germany).
  • “Community of the Unlike”. A project to encourage intercultural co-operation, to promote Human Rights education. Carried out by the All Russian Children’s Centre “Orlyonok” (Russian Federation)
  • “Nothing about us, without us. Practice tool”. A project to promote participation, Human Rights and good governance. Carried out by the Youth City Council of Odessa (Ukraine).(more…)

The jury awarded consolation prizes to three projects:

  • “Intercultural Youth Festival “Dialogue of Cultures”. A project to respect and celebrate diversity. Carried out by “The Centre for Organising Youth Activities” and the “International Centre for Intercultural Research, Learning and Dialogue” (Armenia).
  • “JESENICE”. A pilot project to promote equality, intercultural dialogue. Carried out by the Youth Centre of Jesenice (Slovenia). (more…)
