Call for applications


YOUTH PEACE CAMP 2015

The call for participants for the Youth Peace Camp 2015 is launched. The Camp will be held from 17-24 September at the European Youth Centre in Budapest, Hungary. 

The Youth Peace Camp 2015 will invite young people between the age of 18 to 25 years from conflict effected communities from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kosovo[1] (participants coming from both Albanian, Serbian and other backgrounds), Ukraine, Georgia (including Abkhazia and South Ossetia), The Russian Federation, especially young people directly affected by the crisis in Georgia, and Ukraine.

The camp aims to engage with young people and youth organizations from conflict affected regions, in dialogue and conflict transformation activities based on human rights education and intercultural learning during and after the camp. In a positive and safe atmosphere participants will share their personal experiences of conflict and violence and their coping strategies. They will develop their awareness and competences for living and learning together, by learn from existing youth work practices and experiences of young people working on dialogue and conflict transformation in their home communities.

[1] All reference to Kosovo, whether to the territory, institutions or population, in this text shall be understood in full compliance with the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1244 and without prejudice to the status of Kosovo.
