The practical impact of Council of Europe co-operation in Ukraine will be the focus of a side-event during the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) session on 29 September 2026 in Strasbourg. 

Organised by the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to PACE and the Permanent Representation of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, the event will provide parliamentarians and representatives of member states with first hand information on the impact of the Council or Europe’s work in Ukraine and the plans for the new Action Plan "Democratic Security for Ukraine" 2027–2030.

Ukrainian professionals and beneficiaries will speak directly about how co-operation in the areas of human rights, the rule of law and democratic resilience is delivering results on the ground, despite the ongoing war. Their testimonies will underline why continued engagement by Council of Europe member states matter for Ukraine's reforms, recovery and European future.
