The Council of Europe project "Advancing Media Freedom in the Republic of Moldova" is supporting the efforts of the Public Broadcaster "Teleradio-Moldova" in its organisational development. In this sense, the Project has initiated an exercise to analyse the level of implementation of the institutional strategy developed in 2022, with the support of experts engaged by the Council of Europe. Based on the conclusions reached, the institutional strategy will be updated and extended in line with the institution's new objectives and challenges in the media sector.
To this end, a fact-finding mission to identify the institutional needs of the Public Broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova was carried out on August 4-6 in Chisinau, Moldova. The consultants involved in the assessment process identified a number of key recommendations, focusing on the digitisation of processes, improving broadcasting concepts, and optimizing organisational aspects. These recommendations aim to improve the quality of programs and information broadcast on TV, radio, and online.
This initiative represents an important step towards strengthening Teleradio-Moldova's position in the Moldovan audiovisual market. The strategy update process aims to align the institution's development with European standards and international and national best practices, thus contributing to increasing the relevance and competitiveness of the public media service.
