Over the current week, from 20-23 January, members of the Trainers Pool met for the 10th consultative meeting, and first one held online. The meeting brought together some 40 members of the Trainers Pool with the aim of reviewing the developments within the Council of Europe and its Youth for Democracy programme in relation to the work of the trainers.
The meeting also focused around the training work online, discussing about various quality criteria for online education and training, and presenting a proposal for adapting some COMPASS activities on the e-learning platform of the Youth Department.
The trainers also exchanged about their work online and the ways how education and training in the youth field can support young people in the time of a global pandemic. A strong shared wish for 2021 is to have as soon as possible the opportunity to go back to the European Youth Centres and hold activities with youth organisations.
