The exhibition “Tales of the Brave” that showcases the resilience and creativity of young people of Ukraine through personal and vivid stories, has travelled from Strasbourg to Lviv, Ukraine – the European Youth Capital 2025.
Between 28 and 30 November, representatives of the youth sector from all over Ukraine and international delegations at the forum "Building Bridges" were able to get acquainted with the projects of the exhibition within the title Lviv – European Youth Capital and the All-Ukrainian Forum of Youth Work "United by Light: Free and Unbreakable".This exhibition brings to life 15 youth initiatives, telling the stories of young people who, despite adversity, succeeded to create connection and change, celebrating resilience, solidarity, and the transformative power of young people’s action. The initiatives were funded by the European Youth Foundation, that launched a special call in 2022 to support young people affected by Russia’s war against Ukraine.
In 2025, Ukraine marks thirty years of membership in the Council of Europe - three decades of shared commitment to democracy, human rights and the rule of law. Since the war of aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine in 2022, supporting Ukraine’s youth has become a top priority.
The exhibition "Tales of the Brave" was opened at the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg earlier from 10 to 21 November 2025. The translation and preparation of the exhibition into Ukrainian was carried out by the Council of Europe project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase IV".
