As part of the ongoing review of Recommendation CM/Rec(2019)4 of the Committee of Ministers on supporting young refugees in transition to adulthood, the Council of Europe invites key stakeholders to take part in a dedicated survey.
Adopted in 2019, the Recommendation outlines principles and measures to support young refugees and asylum seekers as they transition to adulthood, with a focus on promoting their rights, agency, and inclusion. Now, five years later, the review process aims to assess how the Recommendation has been implemented across member states, identify challenges and good practices, and explore how it can be further strengthened and adapted to current realities.
To ensure a broad and inclusive consultation, the Council of Europe has prepared a survey targeting youth and civil society stakeholders, specifically:
- International and European youth organisations
- Refugee-led organisations, including youth organisations
- Non-governmental organisations and projects supporting the rights and inclusion of children and young people in the contexts of migration and asylum
- Other relevant civil society actors working with and for young refugees
Your perspectives and experiences are essential to ensure that the Recommendation continues to reflect the needs of young refugees and supports national and local efforts to uphold their rights and wellbeing.
