On 13 May, a group of 20 young students from ESCM-Ecole Supérieure de Commerce et de Management à Strasbourg et Colmar visited the European Youth Centre, as part of their visit to different entities of the Council of Europe.
At the European Youth Centre, they had an opportunity to hear about the history and significance of the Centre for young people of Europe, as well as about the work of the youth sector of the Organisation and its unique co-management system.
These students are following a dual apprenticeship-study programme: they spend two days a week in classes, and three days working in companies. One part of the group will graduate for BTS (higher-education diploma) in Operational Commerce Management (MCO), the other part for BTS (higher-education diploma) on Negotiation, Digitalisation and Customer Relationship (NDRC).
They were interested in the nature of shrinking democratic spaces for young people and about the nature and number of youth organisations working with the Council of Europe youth sector.
