The Permanent Representative of Italy to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Roberto Martini, and the Deputy Permanent Representative Guglielmo Pirrone, visited the European Youth Centre Strasbourg (EYCS) today.
They were welcomed by the Executive Director of the EYCS, Stefano Dominioni, who gave them a tour and introduced them to the work of the EYCS and its role in empowering young people across Europe, highlighting its unique architectural heritage and significance.
Clementina Barbaro, Head of the Youth Policy Division at the Youth Department presented the youth policy developments and the unique Council of Europe’s co-management system, emphasising Italy’s active participation in intergovernmental co-operation. She also underlined that the 10th Council of Europe Conference of Ministers responsible for Youth will take place on 8-9 October in Malta and will be preceded by the Youth Event.
