We live in a world shaped by migration. The study session “Integration of Young Refugees and Migrants”, organised by the Youth Social Rights Network and the I-Participate NGO in collaboration with the Youth Department of the Council of Europe, brought together youth workers and young people with lived migration experiences to develop skills and knowledge to support integration of young refugees and migrants.

 It offered a safe and inclusive environment in which participants deepened their understanding about the barriers that young refugees are facing when trying to integrate in the host communities.

 During the week, participants were introduced to the Council of Europe work on migration, including the Turning 18 with confidence – a practical guide to the Council of Europe Recommendation CM/Rec(2019)4 on transition to adulthood for young refugees and migrants.
