The representatives of the Kristiansand municipality and the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities have paid a visit to the European Youth Centre Strasbourg. They discussed with the representatives of the Council of Europe Youth Department about potential future co-operation around the European Democracy Week to take place in Kristiansand, Norway in 2025.

 The sixth edition of the European Conference on Democracy and Human Rights will take place on 5 May 2025 in Kristiansand. The Council of Europe is a traditional partner. For 2025, the organisers together with the Youth Department are exploring possibilities to strengthen youth participation in the European Conference and the Democracy Week and connect with developments with other key European events and developments foreseen for 2025.
