As part of their visit to European institutions, the Ukrainian Leadership Academy also visited the Council of Europe to learn about the organisation’s support for Ukraine on its path to European integration. The group visited key parts of the Council of Europe including the Palace of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, and the European Youth Centre.

 At the European Youth Centre, young leaders explored the educational programmes offered by the Youth Department, both within the European Youth Centre in Budapest and Strasbourg, and beyond. They also learned about youth policy initiatives, the Council of Europe’s co-operation with Ukraine, and the European Youth Foundation — including a special call for youth projects created by, for, and with young people from Ukraine.

 The Ukrainian Leadership Academy is a values-driven platform for personal and social development, designed for motivated young people aged 16 to 20. The Academy offers a one-year program between high school and university, combining leadership training with large-scale social projects that aim to make a positive impact on society.
