The Council of Europe invites organisations implementing human rights education with young people to apply with projects to organise the Compass National and Regional Training Courses in 2024.
The Compass training courses are strategic national and regional activities for localising human rights education with young people and developing key multipliers competences for human rights education. The courses contribute to implementation of the Council of Europe Charter on Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education.
Three types of possible support for implementation of activities:
- Educational support.
- Financial support in the form of a grant.
- Institutional support and visibility as a partner of the Council of Europe.
The organisers of training courses will be invited for a preparatory meeting in February 2024.
TIMELINE
- 11 January at 23:00 CET – deadline for submitting applications.
- 12 – 30 January – assessment of the applications and communication of the results.
- Mid-February – online preparation meeting with organisers.
- 1 April – 30 November – implementation period for activities.
WHO CAN APPLY
The local or national organisations and institutions interested in introducing and developing the provisions and quality of human rights education registered in one the fifty states signatory of the European Cultural Convention, such as:
- Non-governmental youth organisations and/or other non-governmental organisations.
- Governmental organisations focused on human rights, youth and/or education.
- Institutions involved in human rights education.
- National networks of human rights activists and/or human rights educators.
HOW TO APPLY
- To complete an application form and submit to [email protected].
- To submit draft programme using a template following instructions in the call to [email protected].
- To submit provisional budget using a template if financial support is being requested to [email protected].
