In 2025, the Slovenian Association of Journalists (DNS) continued operating the PRIJAVI NAPAD (“Report an Attack”) platform, which records incidents affecting journalists and media workers and provides support, information and guidance to those concerned. The platform enables the reporting and monitoring of a broad range of incidents, including threats, verbal attacks, disinformation campaigns, harassment, sexual harassment, attacks on property, legal pressures and attempts to interfere with editorial independence.

As part of a Ministry of Culture-funded project running from 2025 to 2026, DNS is also working to strengthen the systemic response to attacks against journalists. Activities include regular monitoring of reported incidents, provision of support and legal assistance, cooperation with law-enforcement and judicial authorities, and the establishment of a multidisciplinary working group bringing together relevant stakeholders to analyse trends and discuss possible responses to threats affecting journalists. DNS also continued providing support and initial legal assistance to journalists, including through a cooperation arrangement with a law firm specialised in media-related litigation that offers an initial legal assessment free of charge.

According to DNS, 17 incidents affecting journalists and media workers were recorded through the platform during 2025. The organisation reports that these included physical threats, verbal attacks, discreditation campaigns, harassment, legal pressure and attempts to interfere with editorial autonomy.
