In 2025, Slovenian media and civil society organisations participated in initiatives aimed at strengthening professional standards, promoting media literacy and addressing challenges affecting journalists and the media sector. Through the regional Women in the Media (2025–2028) project, partners from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina cooperated on research, awareness-raising, training and the development of standards relating to sexual harassment and gender equality in media organisations. The project targets journalism students, journalists and media managers and seeks to promote respectful, diverse and inclusive working environments.
