On 12 March 2012 the Republic of Moldova became the 18th country to ratify the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse (CETS 201). The Convention will enter into force as regards the Republic of Moldova on 1 July 2012.
