The Drafting Group on the use of new technologies by the European Court of Human Rights and new tendencies in litigation before the European Court of Human Rights (CDDH-TE) held its second meeting in Warsaw from 13 to 15 October 2026.

Meeting under the chairmanship of Milène BLANCHARD (France), the Group examined a draft report on the use of new technologies by the ECtHR and discussed the preparation of a report on new tendencies in litigation before the ECtHR. The Group asked its rapporteur (Heide-Elena NICOLAS MARTÍNEZ, Spain) to prepare a draft text on new tendencies in litigation before the ECtHR for discussion at its next meeting and invited the Delegations to submit written comments on the draft text a week before the meeting.

The meeting was preceded by the 17th Warsaw Human Rights Seminar, organised by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 12 October 2026. The CDDH-TE members participated in the seminar, which focussed on the legal framework for the protection of human rights in the age of modern technology.
