The Human Rights and Business Platform of the Council of Europe is a comprehensive resource hub dedicated to strengthening respect for human rights in business activities across Europe.

It brings together European and international human rights standards, relevant case law from the European Court of Human Rights and expert guidance in one accessible place. By combining legal standards, practical tools, educational materials and training resources, the platform supports policymakers, businesses, and practitioners in promoting responsible, sustainable, and rights-respecting practices, particularly where human rights, environmental protection and business operations intersect.

Established following the Committee of Ministers Recommendation CM/Rec(2016)3 on human rights and business, the platform advances the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights throughout Council of Europe member States. It also fosters the exchange of national expertise, including the sharing of National Action Plans and good practices, strengthening cooperation and effective action across the region.
