Online Platform for Human Rights and Business

This platform was set up to promote the sharing of national expertise and practice in the field of Human Rights and Business.

It was established following the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers Recommendation (2016)3 to member states on Human Rights and Business, which sets out comprehensive standards and guidance that aims to promote the effective implementation of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights across the Council of Europe.

The sharing of National Action Plans and implementing actions between member States is a central feature of the Recommendation, and this platform will support the sharing of information.

The map below shows the Council of Europe member States who have submitted information to this platform. Click to visit their national page or use the buttons above to view more.

Please note that the entries featured on this platform are part of an ongoing information sharing exercise and as such are intended to be informative, not an evaluation or endorsement; and the absence of a practice or entry for a State does not imply inaction.

National Pages
This platform was made possible by voluntary contributions from member States. The Secretariat would therefore like to thank and express its appreciation to the Dutch and German authorities for their financial contributions and support for this work, alongside all those who have contributed to the information featured on this platform.
