The Saint-Denis Commitee held its 6th meeting in Strasbourg, on 3-4 December 2024, back-to-back with the third and final meeting of its Ad hoc Working Group on UEFA EURO 2024 (Germany).
The Committee notably established its multi-annual programme of monitoring visits 2026-2029, was updated on the recent developments by States parties and observers to the Saint-Denis Convention, and took stock of the result of two questionnaires on the use of pyrotechnics and collective bans against away supporters. A debrief on Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games was also presented. The Committee was further updated on the FIFA Men’s Football World Cup 2026 to be held in Canada, Mexico and the USA. Committee members also exchanged views with relevant stakeholders such as the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) and UNICRI on their work programme and possible future cooperation.
The third and final meeting of the Ad hoc Working Group on UEFA EURO 2024 - Germany brought together States parties and observers for a final debrief of the tournament on safety, security and service, presented by the German delegation and UEFA and completed by very positive feedbacks from the participating countries and supporter organisations.
