Summary of the project: For more than 20 years we have advocated diversity within Sport and helped sport clubs and federations in creating projects to include migrants, refugees and other people who suffer from social disadvantages. The programme "Integration through Sport" supports clubs, federations and volunteers financially, offers advice, qualification seminars and helps to build important networks. The programme "Integration through Sport" is sponsored by the German Federal Minitry of the Interior and the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.

Summary of the project in original language: Das bereits 1994 in die Strukturen aller 16 Landessportbünde eingebundene Programm „Integration durch Sport“ (IdS) wird bundesweit vom DOSB e.V. koordiniert. Mit Hilfe des Programms IdS kann der LSB M-V e.V. Sportvereine und -verbände, Netzwerkpartner und freiwillig Engagierte in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in ihren Integrationsbemühungen konzeptionell, organisatorisch und finanziell unterstützen. Ziel ist es, die gleichberechtigte Teilhabe von Menschen (mit und ohne Migrationshintergrund, sozial Benachteiligte, Frauen und Senioren) am gesellschaftlichen Leben zu ermöglichen und zu stärken. Damit öffnen wir die Türen in unsere vielfältigen Sportstrukturen, sei es für Teilnehmer/innen, neue Mitglieder oder ehrenamtlich Engagierte. Das Bundesministerium des Innern (BMI), das Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF) und das Ministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Kultur Mecklenburg-Vorpommern stehen uns dabei als Zuwendungsgeber und Partner in der Integrationsarbeit zur Seite.
