Summary of the project: Underway Etnoliga Etnoliga is a cross-cultural football integration programme.
In 2005 we invited refugees from Chechnya and Africa, and Polish students to play together in one-day tournament. Next year new groups joined us, Vietnamese and people from Africa among others. In the third and fourth tournament we had already 12 teams, including representations of the Jewish community and Legia Warszawa supporters. We started cooperation with women players, introducing a minimum number of 3 women in each team. Due to the great interest in 2010 the tournaments transformed into a solid league.
People from more than 50 countries play in each seaso. Among them are refugees, businessmen, students, workers. All teams are mixed, there are no national teams. People of all ages meet at one pitch. Men and women play together. Participants prepare contests, snacks and presentations.The scoring system rewards fair play and extra activities. Players themselves establish additional rules for the games. Participation is free of charge. We meet for trainings and sparrings. We organise charity tournaments and sports activities for young refugee. We show up at festivals, fairs and other events. We teach sport trainers, organise expert seminars and publish manuals. Almost 2000 players from 92 countries have been engaged in our project so far.

W 2005 r. zorganizowaliśmy pierwszy turniej dla uchodźców z Czeczenii i Afryki oraz polskich uczniów. W kolejnym roku dołączyli Wietnamczycy, Afrykańczycy i inne nowe osoby z całego świata. Wkrótce grało już 12 drużyn, m.in. reprezentacja gminy żydowskiej oraz kibice Legii Warszawa. Rozpoczęliśmy też współpracę ze środowiskiem piłkarek. W związku z rosnącym zainteresowaniem w 2010 r. ruszyły stałe rozgrywki ligowe.

- W każdej edycji gra kilkaset osób z ponad 50 krajów - Są wśród nich uchodźcy, biznesmeni, studenci, robotnicy… - Wszystkie drużyny są mieszane, nie ma reprezentacji narodowych - Na boisku spotykają się ludzie w różnym wieku - W każdym zespole wspólnie grają kobiety i mężczyźni - Uczestnicy przygotowują konkursy, poczęstunki i prezentacje - System punktacji premiuje fair play i aktywność poza boiskiem - Zawodnicy sami ustalają dodatkowe przepisy - Udział w lidze jest bezpłatny - Spotykamy się na treningi i sparingi - Organizujemy turnieje charytatywne i zajęcia sportowe dla małych uchodźców - Pojawiamy się na festiwalach, targach i innych eventach - Szkolimy trenerów, organizujemy seminaria eksperckie, wydajemy podręczniki

Do tej pory w Etnolidze grało już blisko 2 tys. piłkarzy i piłkarek z 92 krajów.
