National and international political priorities in the sports sector
The policy priorities are defined by the national sport developed in 2000. This program is applied by the developed program Annual Statement of the sport each year.
The main objective of the national sport is to build an enabling environment for the sport. To achieve this goal, the state is implementing the following policies:
Making sport accessible to all Slovenian citizens.
The sport education for children, teenagers and students
Develop high performance sport
To provide citizens of the sports facilities and maintain them
Provide training, qualification and specialization of sports professionals (directors supervision)
Ensure the fight against doping
Enforce the rules and ethics in sport
Disseminate information on sport
Check the health of athletes and their rate of training
Be active at the international level
Ensure proper functioning of the various sports-related associations (federations, OCS ASF, club, sports association student ....)
Developing sport for disabled
And help fund research and scientific work.
Adhere to major internationals organizations (IOC, UNESCO, UN ...) and agreements internationals
Implementation of bilateral agreements on sport

The organization of sport in Slovenia is provided by various structures.
