National and international political priorities in the sports sector (2010)
The priority is to develop children's and youth sports and sport education. In view of the beneficial effect of sports on functional capacity, health and well-being.

Organisation of sport in the country (2010)
Ministry of Education: Supports sports projects which promote good ethnic relations and addresses racism, thus increasing the opportunities of immigrants and ethnic minorities to participate in sports activities on equal terms.
Finnish Sports Federation (FSF): Its aim is to promote sports opportunities for immigrants and to safeguard the interests of all immigrant associations.
Finnish Olympic Committee: The Finnish Olympic Committee promotes and develops success-oriented and ethically sustainable Finnish elite sports
