Austria ratifies the Convention on safety, security and service in sport

On 3 August 2021, Gerhard Jandl, Permanent Representative of Austria to the Council of Europe, deposited, in the presence of Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the instrument of ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on an Integrated Safety, Security and Service Approach at Football Matches and Other Sports Events (CETS Nº 218), also known as the Saint-Denis Convention.

Austria is the 21st State Party to ratify this Convention, which entered into force on 1 November 2017.

The Saint-Denis Convention shall enter into force in respect of Austria on 1 October 2021.
