Prizes, Honours:

  • Minister of Justice, Republic of Poland, Award for contribution to the Polish system of justice, 13 March 2024.
  • Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences in America (PIASA) award for “promotion of democracy and the rule of law” (co-awarded with Agnieszka Holland), 1 April 2024.
  • The Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia Award  "in recognition of the work of a scholar who has achieved excellence in the social sciences" (1988). 
  • First prize of the `Państwo i Prawo' (`State and Law') journal for the best Ph.D. thesis written in 1977.
